Aquarian Age Readiness-- Year with the Master with Adi Singh

This November, our senior teacher, Adi Singh has prepared another excellent theme for our special event, Aquarian Age Readiness. Come join us and learn a Meditation to Establish Dignity in Your Life, next Tuesday, November 12, 2013, 7 pm to 8:30pm at 2308 N Richland St, Phoenix AZ 85006.

“To guarantee tranquility you must dig in it, put your roots in it, and be it. When you dig your own identity it becomes dignity. When you have dignity, tranquility is forever. Our life is built by steps. If one step is missing, five things will fall. Yet, there is no school for building character. You are prepared for a professional existence and to earn money. How many mothers pray for a saint? We think a saint is someone far away with a white beard, shaggy clothes, very bright eyes and nothing else. One day I went to God and said, “I want to be a saint.” He said, “Idiot!” And He pulled me back by the hair and said, “Listen! From the first day to this day I have created only saints, which you call human.” And He threw me back to the Earth.” (Yogi Bhajan 10/31/2000)

Bound Lotus --- Bind Yourself to Infinity with Haritej Kaur

"When you practice Bound Lotus, it makes you strong like iron on the inside and radiant like the sun on the outside." --- Yogi Bhajan

Today Haritej Kaur talks about why she practices Bound Lotus and why others should practice Bound Lotus too:

When I first discovered that Bound Lotus is a physically challenging meditation, I immediately wanted to give it a try. Sometimes I like to take on a challenge. Practicing Bound Lotus reminds me of the Chinese legend of the Monkey King who wreaked havoc in the heaven until Buddha trapped him under a mountain. I always feel that my mind is like the Monkey King who needs to be disciplined by the mountain that is the Bound Lotus meditation.

I have been practicing Bound Lotus for over 500 days. It has taught me so much. When I bow my head to the ground with my eyes close, I feel like I have entered a realm where time and space do not exist. In this state I learn to let go of the past, my pain, anger, and grief. I learn to be still and just surrender myself to Infinity. Bound Lotus has also done wonders for my physical body. My allergy is getting better. I have more energy and the focus to tackle my everyday tasks. Bound Lotus has given me so much more than I expected, I absolutely love it!

I want to encourage everyone to practice Bound Lotus because you’ll never know what you are capable of until you try it. Also, Bound Lotus is a very powerful meditation that not only heals it also bestows many other benefits to the practitioner. Yogi Bhajan once said: “The yogis who practiced this, thousands of years ago, lived to be over 120 years old without any illness or disease.” He also said that: “When a person masters Bound Lotus, like in Sat Nam Rasayan, their presence alone has the capacity to change another person and their environments.”

So drop your fears and experience Bound Lotus for yourself. Challenge yourself; let yourself grow, physically, mentally and spiritually!

My advice to those who wish to try Bound Lotus is: Stretch, stretch, and stretch! Start with modified Bound Lotus poses and work slowly toward the final posture.

Next Tuesday, October 22, 2013, join Haritej Kaur from 7:00pm to 8:30pm for another Bound Lotus event.

In this event participants will practice pranayam (breathing exercise), yogic stretches, kriya, and 11 minutes of Bound Lotus (in either full posture or modified posture).

To support your experience please bring: Your own pillows (for those who can't reach their heads to the floor), a small rolled up towel, yoga strap or a shawl/scarf.

Yogic Tools For All--Mudra Medley with Guru Ardas Kaur (Michelle)

“Hands are more than just functional; they are an energy map of our consciousness and health. Each area of the hand corresponds to a certain area of the body and to different emotions and behaviors. By curling, crossing, stretching, and touching the fingers and palms, we can effectively talk to the body and mind. The position the hand takes is called a mudra and is a technique for giving clear messages to the mind-body energy system.
Just as letters are combined in a multitude of ways to form different words, so can the fingers build an array of mudras.” (from 3HO.org)

Next Tuesday, October 15, 2013, 7:00pm to 8:30 pm at Yoga Phoenix, join Guru Ardas Kaur to learn more about mudras and experience a special Mudra Medley Kriya as taught by Yogi Bhajan.

(Yoga Phoenix is located at 2308 N Richland St, Phoenix AZ 85006)

A Year with The Master: Wake Up to Your Destiny

This coming Tuesday, October 8, 2013, 7:00pm to 8:30 pm at Yoga Phoenix, join Adi Singh for Aquarian Age Readiness--A Year with the Master.
In this session Adi Singh is teaching a meditation To Wake Up to Your Destiny:
“Your purity, piety, commitment, depth, compassion, love and grace are always being tested. You have to take care of yourself. Do you think you can cheat yourself and it will not cost you anything? Personal cracks cost more than social insults. Now is the time to wake up from your sleep, break open your cocoon and come out! Wake up to your destiny. Give yourself to the fact that you are beautiful, bright, bountiful and blissful. The future is waiting for you.

When I used to be captain of my team, I would tell them, “The moment you’ve got the ball, that very moment you have to pass it. Don’t start to dribble and play around. You might lose the ball and never get it back.”We must be conscious, we must practice, and open our eyes—open our third eye, to catch the moment, to run with it and reach the destination. Within the faculty of that one moment and action, you must consolidate what you have learned and find mastery within yourself. Let us salute the Lord—the most powerful, omnipotent Healer, the most Pure of the universe—as an identity and personality.” (Yogi Bhajan 10/05/2000)

Adi Singh has an eloquent way of explaining yogic concepts, it is always a pleasure to learn from this very experienced teacher. Don't miss out this opportunity! Come learn and grow yourself for the Aquarian Age and connect with other yogis!

Aquarian Age Readiness-- Year with the Master with Adi Singh

Next Tuesday, September 10, 2013, 7:00pm to 8:30pm, join Adi Singh for Aquarian Age Readiness-- Year with the Master.

This month's theme is:

Learn a Meditation for Universal Communication to give you self-control to be competent in controlling your life, your surroundings, your universe, and your own infinity.

“All pain in our life is our own creation. It is not meant to be. All the pluses and minuses mean nothing. Shuniya, nothingness—is a state of consciousness where there is no plus, no minus, no right, no wrong, no big, no small. You will say you need clothes and shelter. I have no needs—things will come. That is the stage of Shuniya—things come.”

“There is no problem with your life. You have every chance of prosperity and happiness, but you must learn to communicate fluently, aggressively, projectively, kindly, and lovingly. This exercise creates a universal flow of communication while breaking down our blocks and barriers. As we hold our ego, our thumbs—we conquer the ego so we may more readily come to a point of Shuniya—a point of zero. Once we get to that point, the universe can flow through us.” (Yogi Bhajan 8/22/2000)

Adi Singh has been practicing and teaching Kundalini Yoga for over 30 years. He brings a vast knowledge of health, healing, and the physiological effects of Yoga.
